Ironically, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has more followers than anyone on the new Google+ social network.
As discovered by Silicon Alley Insider, the high-tech executive currently boasts nearly 34,759 friends, more than Google CEO Larry Page (23,633) and co-founder Sergey Brin(18,715).

According to the Top 100 listing of Google+ users, Zuckerberg’s popularity further exceeds that of well-known technology journalists, bloggers, software developers and other Google execs.
More actively checking out the competition than serving up witty status updates or random photos and videos of life’s magic moments, Zuckberg nonetheless remains a polarizing figure for much of the online world.
With over 750 million monthly users now on Facebook as compared to the currently anemic population of Google+, perhaps they’re just waiting for him to send a stream of taunts at its new rival’s expense.
