Google+ will allow multiple admins to manage a brand page “before 2012,” Kristoffer Sorensen, said on in a live Q&A on Wednesday. Kristoffer Sorensen is a Google marketing strategist.
Currently, brand pages can have only one admin. This is something really annoying if a page is managed by more than one person.

Multi-admin feature is surely gonna help Google+ brand page as this facility is something that Facebook pages already have and till now Google plus don't.
Another missing feature in Google plus Pages is that they can't be merged but two Facebook pages can be merged. Let's hope for this feature in future.
Over the years, Google doodles have made searching on Google more fun and enjoyable. When doodles were first created, nobody had anticipated how popular and integral they would become to the Google search experience. Nowadays, many users excitedly anticipate the release of each new doodle.
Mark Twain’s 176th Birthday
How did the idea for doodles originate?
In 1998, the concept of the doodle was born when Google founders Larry and Sergey played with the corporate logo to indicate their attendance at the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert. A stick figure drawing was placed behind the 2nd "o" in the word, Google and the revised logo was intended as a comical message to Google users that the founders were “out of office.”
While the first doodle was relatively simple, but the idea of decorating the company logo was well received by users.
Over time, the demand for doodles quickly rose Worldwide. Creating doodles is now the responsibility of a team of talented designers.
If you love Google and have designed your own doodle than you can submit it to proposals@google.com.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is no longer the “most-circled” person on Google+. That honor now rests, more appropriately, with Google cofounder and CEO Larry Page.
Larry Page has now more than 602233 followers.
Mark Zuckerberg, despite having never posted on Google+, has of 599098 followers.
This is the outcome of criticism of Google Executives for not using its own products. Its only after that Several Google executives began posting more frequently and publicly to Google+ .
Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt also joined Google+ earlier this month.
A Youtube video leaked on to the Web (subsequently deleted but since reposted) shows off the new interface for the Web giant's email service. Jason Cornwell, a user experience designer for Gmail, walks viewers through the major changes ahead.
"Oops, you weren't supposed to see that," Google representative Andrea Freund told CNET. "Stay tuned, we'll be sharing more info on Gmail's new look soon."
The new look is designed to be cleaner, simpler, and more intuitive, he said. One of the biggest changes is that the Gmail window will automatically adapt to whatever size the user chooses.
Conversations have been redesigned to "feel more like a real conversation," he said, noting that user profile pictures have been added next to their comments, similar to how many instant messaging and chat applications work.
Google is making the size of the label and chat areas on the left more flexible, he said. "Even if you do nothing, Gmail adapts to you," he said. Gmail has also overhauled search to make it more customizable.
The Google engineer that ranted on the differences between how Amazon ran the company and how Google runs itself has apparently not faced consequences for the post. In his post, he basically took on Amazon leader, Jeff Bezos equating him with a tyrant, saying that he could analyze a proposal like no other, and guess what, he's back with more. The engineer's name is Steve Yegge and his post went viral even though it was only intended for internal purposes. He thanks Google for not punishing him when that happened. He wrote in a new post, "Amazingly, nothing bad happened to me at Google. Everyone just laughed at me a lot, all the way up to the top, for having committed what must be the great-granddaddy of all Reply-All screwups in tech history."
No punishment for the truth teller
In fact, the higher ups have taken the issues he brought up to heart, but not in the negative way one would imagine they would. They're taking into account what he's written and attempting to figure out some of the issues he brought up, especially about Google's lack of a platform. Vic Gundotra, Google's VP of Social commented on the blog post saying that it was definitely a bad move on Yegge's part but it also allowed the world to look in at Google and see how they work as a team. Yegge himself said that he feels guilty about the post and that it was definitely a bad thing for him to have done. Yegge, however, promises to write more stories on Jeff Bezos's tyrannical behaviour as and when he finds the time, as he has years of experience dealing with the Amazon leader.
The 40 Million users of Google+ have uploaded 3.4 billion photographs to the service in the last 100 days, the company has revealed.
"That’s a big number even by Google standards,” said Google social czar Vic Gundotra while talking with Sergei Brin and John Battelle onstage at Web 2.0 Summit.
That number is small enough in comparison with Facebook, of course. Facebook has roughly 140 billion photos in its archives, with 6 billion photos being added every month.
Facebook’s 140 Billion Photos Represent 4% of Photos Ever Taken By Humans.

When Google Translate came to Android, sometime last year, it did manage to bring the ease of communicating in the language best understood with the comfort of one's smartphone. However, earlier in the year, it introduced Conversation Mode, albeit as an experiment. Conversation mode, claimed Google took routine translation to the next level. This feature allowed users to speak directly into their smartphone's microphone, and the Translate app would translate the spoken language and would read it aloud. Then, the person on the other end, would speak into their microphone and the Translation app would translate it for you and read it aloud. However, at the outset, Google had enabled this feature in only English and Spanish.
However, now, an official post on the Google blog confirms that the search giant has added as many as 14 more global languages to the Conversation mode feature. The feature is now available in - Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Russian and Turkish, taking the total number of supported languages to an impressive 16.
Speaking into your smartphone's microphone
The post further adds that the feature is still in its early stages, and hence issues like background noise and regional accents may affect the work of the feature. But, with more people using the feature, Google assures timely updates and improvements. The feature also allows users to correct the text they want to translate, before it is translated. For eg: words like train, drain, rain or any other such similar sounding words when spoken into the microphone may prompt wrong translations. But now, users can correct the text, if any errors occur. The update also includes a magnifier, using which translated text can be zoomed in for better viewing.
Google has also optimized the Translate app for Android smartphones or tablets with larger screens for easy reading. Google Translate, itself offers support for over 63 languages, voice-input for 17 of these 63 languages and text-to-speech for another 24 languages.
Receive the translated text, Japanese in this case
Google, signs off by saying that adding more language support to the Conversation mode is definitely in the pipeline. Google Translate is available for download on the Android Market. To better understand the Conversation mode feature, and see how it could work for you, watch the video below
Google announced a "fall sweep" on October 14, about shutting down of several products, including Google Buzz, the company's controversial attempt at a social network.
Here’s the latest update on what’s happening:
Code Search, which was designed to help people search for open source code all over the web, will be shut down along with the Code Search API on January 15, 2012.
In a few weeks Google will shut down Google Buzz and the Buzz API, and focus instead on Google+.
Jaiku, a product Google acquired in 2007 that let users send updates to friends, will shut down on January 15, 2012.
With New focus on Google+, it will remove iGoogle's social features on January 15, 2012. iGoogle itself, and non-social iGoogle applications, will stay as they are.
The University Research Program for Google Search, which provides API access to Google search results for a small number of approved academic researchers, will close on January 15, 2012.
In addition, later today the Google Labs site will shut down, and as previously announced, Boutiques.com and the former Like.com websites will be replaced by Google Product Search.
Google signed off by saying, "Our users expect great things from us; today’s announcements let us focus even more on giving them something truly awesome."
Google+ Hits 40 million Users within just 4 months, whereas it took other social networking sites more than 10 times the period Google CEO Larry Page claimed people are "flocking into Google+ at an incredible rate" as he announced the financial results for the quarter. It still has a long way to go before catching up with Facebook, but Google Inc. is happy with the growing user base of its upcoming social network
But Google+'s membership remains a tiny fraction of that of Facebook. Facebook, which started in 2004, presently claims to have 800 million users.
Google Executive Chairman +Eric Schmidt. has finally joined Google+. Google has been criticized for how few of its senior executives are visible on Google+.
For some reason, Schmidt’s profile photo is a picture of himself which looks like it is from 20 years ago when he was at Sun.
Any top Google exec needs to be careful what they share publicly because they do represent the company, even on Google+. But they can also take the natural curiosity people have about their lives and thoughts and use it to showcase hat Google+ is all about. If they don’t use and love their products, why should the rest of us?
On 20th September when Google plus was Launched for all, Traffic spiked to 1269%. But After few days Traffic decreased by 60%.
Chitika tracked Google+ traffic before and after the social networking service opened its gates to all users.
“The data shows that, on the day of its public debut, Google+ traffic skyrocketed to peak levels. But, soon after, traffic fell by over 60% as it returned to its normal, underwhelming state,” Chitika says of its findings, as illustrated in the chart below.
Google Plus didn't worked out the way it was supposed to be.
People are coming to check out Google plus and admiring it too but are not staying there because they already have their network build within Facebook or twitter.
As much as one-seventh of humanity has downloaded Google Earth, a technology that is only 6 years old.
The free software has been downloaded 1 billion times, Google announced Wednesday. If you’re among the 6 billion or so people who haven’t downloaded it, the app offers navigable, photographic images of the Earth, taken by satellites.
The technology was originally developed by Keyhole, a company Google bought in 2001. Upon release 5 years later, Google Earth found popularity in no small part because of its ability to be integrated into other tools and apps. (Most recently, it’s been used for advertising.)
To expand the use of Google Earth even further, Google is marking this milestone by pitching oneworldmanystories.com, which showcases stories from around the world — like that of Roz Savage, a British rower who has cataloged her more than 500 days at sea.
The infographic below from Google promotes the new site.
Google's Chrome is on the brink of replacing Firefox as the second-most-popular browser, according to one Web statistics firm.
Data provided by StatCounter, an Irish company that tracks browser usage using the free analytics tools it offers websites, shows that Chrome will pass Firefox to take the No. 2 spot no later than December.
As of Wednesday, Chrome's global average user share for September was 23.6%, while Firefox's stood at 26.8%. IE, meanwhile, was at 41.7%. The climb of Chrome during 2011 has been astonishing: It has gained eight percentage point since January 2011, representing a 50% increase.
Chrome may pass Firefox as the world's second-most-popular browser by the end of the year. (Data: StatCounter.)
During that same period, Firefox has dropped almost 4% points, a decline of about 13%, while IE has also fallen four points, a 9% dip.
If the trends established thus far this year continue, Chrome will come close to matching Firefox's usage share in November, then pass its rival in December, when Chrome will account for approximately 26.6% of all browsers and Firefox will have a 25.3% share.
New data from Experian Hitwise show a dramatic increase in traffic over the week since the service opened to everyone. Visits to Google Plus increased by 1269% last week. The site received 15 million U.S. visits, up from 1.1 million the week before. Google Plus went from ranking 54th in Hitwise's Social Networking and Forums category to ranking 8th in just one week.
That's not all the traffic, either. These stats don't include mobile users or visits from the ubiquitous black Google toolbar. The data still show that Google Plus is disproportionately comprised of "influencers" and "early adopters" compared to other social networks, but the removal of invitations seems to have jump-started visits to the service. According to Paul Allen's estimates, which have been on track in the past, Google Plus currently has around 43 million users.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has a personal net worth of $17.5 billion, edging out Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page for the first time, according to Forbes‘s annual “Richest People in America” list.
Zuckerberg, who was number 35 on the list last year, is number 14 on the list now, just below Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who has a personal fortune worth $19.1 billion, according to Forbes.
Brin and Page each have net worths of $16.7 billion, placing them both at number 15, compared to last year’s number 24 ranking.
Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz made number 91 on the list with $3.5 billion. And Sean Parker, former Facebook president, is 200 on the list with $2.1 billion.
Though none of those tech luminaries cracked the top 10, Bill Gates topped the list and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison was number three. (Warren Buffett came in at number two.)
Other techies include Michael Dell (18), Steve Ballmer (19), Paul Allen (23), Steve Jobs (39), eBay founder Pierre Omidyar (50), Eric Schmidt (51), George Lucas (107) and Mark Cuban (171).
Jobs’s relatively low ranking on the list may come as a surprise to some since Apple is now the world’s most valuable company and was deemed “CEO of the Decade” by Fortune. Most of Jobs’s wealth is in the form of preferentially owned stock. He owns about 5 million shares of Apple and 138 million shares of Disney, which he received when Disney bought Pixar, according to CNNMoney.
